Scott Rowles, MAT, CBC
Scott holds his Masters of Arts in Teaching from Oregon State University and has taught courses at the high school and college level. Scott helped design and is the lead instructor for the highly popular College Success course at COCC.
A highly motivated individual, Scott is dedicated to seeing students succeed through instruction that is built on sincere and trusting relationships. He has significantly contributed to and shaped the current curriculum for all first term students at College Excel in order to address the largest challenges that college students face in their quest to become successful young adults. His extensive career in post-secondary education has included teaching traditional and non-traditional learners while continually implementing contemporary education research into his instruction methods. As an educator, Scott has a record of increasing student performance beyond the normal gains and believes that learning needs to be accessible to all students.
A long time local to Bend, Scott loves spending time outdoors with his wife and daughters. In his spare time, Scott enjoys backcountry skiing, cycling, running and competing in multi-sport events.
