Academics + The Colleges
Take control of your academic future today.
At College Excel, we work collaboratively with students, helping transform them into empowered learners with a growth mindset.
Our academic program begins with our Core Curriculum, which teaches students the vital academic and life skills needed to navigate their personal lives and achieve collegiate success. From day one, each student is:
1) Matched with a Student Success Coach, certified in Behavioral and Neuro coaching that helps co-create a collegiate experience molded to each student's unique learning style and academic goals; and
2) Enrolled in two college courses at Central Oregon Community College (COCC), as well as a series of proprietary College Excel seminars centered on holistic living.
Our Academic Department services help students further develop their classroom, organizational, writing, studying, and critical thinking skills, all while guiding students through successfully navigating their unique learning differences.
ACADEMICS & THE COLLEGES
Academic success leads to a confident, motivated mindset that can be carried into future endeavors - academic and beyond.
HEAD OF ACADEMIC & CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
John Wright, MFA
Our state-of-the-art facilities, located within walking distance of COCC and OSU-Cascades, provide students with quiet spaces for one-on-one academic coaching sessions, advising meetings, tutoring sessions, and group meetings.
After successfully completing the Core Curriculum, students work with our Academic Department to individually tailor future COCC or OSU-Cascades course loads and daily routines to most effectively reach their stated goals. As they progress through our program, students’ course loads and free time intentionally increase as they begin to manage their schedules independently.
