At College Excel, we also provide you with services, activities and events that will bring meaning, purpose and fun to the non-academic side of your life.

To help you manage your priorities outside the classroom, we have both coaching services and contracted services available.

Coaching services relieve the anxiety of trying to do everything yourself. We have certified behavioral, neuro and performance coaches that can help you with any issue you're facing. These life coaches won't just teach you to be accountable for your actions, but will stay involved with you every step of the way as you set goals, take action and keep motivated.

Our coaches listen without judgment and have your best interest at heart. But coaching isn't therapy. Coaching focuses on the present and the future. It challenges you to ask “what now?” instead of “why?”. Most importantly, coaches do not treat clinical mental health disorders or illnesses.

But therapy can also play a role as you change your life, and about half our students do see a therapist. All different types of therapists are available through our contracted services, in areas such as medication management, educational testing and psychiatric services. We also have therapists who provide services on our campus.

These contracted services are provided at an additional cost and billed directly by the provider.

Community

The friendly, supportive atmosphere is one of the first things you’ll notice at College Excel. Our staff is down to earth and available, our students are open and accepting, the community of Bend is laid back and friendly and students form close friendships. We go out of our way to help each new student adjust to his or her new surroundings.

Our students and staff represent diverse racial, ethnic and class distinctions, national origins, religious and political beliefs, physical abilities and learning styles, gender identities and sexual orientations. We affirm the dignity inherent in everyone and provide a climate marked by respect for everyone's individual differences and backgrounds.

We want and expect you to become an active member of our community by contributing your talents and gifts, participating in activities and learning to work cooperatively. This responsibility is a rich learning opportunity and just as important as what you learn in the classroom.
