College Excel (without student housing):
The cost for College Excel is $12,950.00 per three-month term. This includes all of the College Excel services, including our privately taught accredited courses. All living expenses are the responsibility of the student. If students choose to live outside of the College Excel student housing they can typically rent an apartment for $700-$1000 per month plus utilities.  This amount does not include other living expenses such as food, transportation, furniture, etc.

College Excel (with student housing included):
The total cost for students residing in College Excel sponsored student housing is $17,450 per three month term. This includes $12,950 per three month term plus $4500 per three month term for room and board (food). This fee includes a room, single or double, food and all utilities in a fully furnished house supervised by College Excel. (Student housing is not supervised 24 hours a day; however, residential houses are monitored by our staff during the day and evening.) Students are taught how to develop a menu, shop within a budget, handle roommate conflicts, do chores and cook healthy meals. Student housing has other rules associated with it including quiet study hours and cleanliness. We strictly prohibit illegal drugs or alcohol on our properties. College Excel is pleased to announce the release of our new budget curriculum for enrolling students.  As of January first of 2008, all enrolling students will participate in an experiential, hands-on budget curriculum.  This budget directly correlates a student’s attendance to their weekly spending money.  All enrolling students will be required to attend at least 80% of their first term College Excel curriculum to receive their weekly stipend of $50.  This system will be augmented by a personal finance course that will help shed light on the student’s relationship with money and bring new insight to their financial goals.   Students will consistently be challenged to “earn” their money through attendance, and use their money in a thoughtful and constructive environment.  At the completion of this course, and with the help of their coaches, students will construct a realistic individual budget with their sponsor.   The curriculum, which is for the first term only, provides students with a stepping stone into an adult relationship with their finances.

This budget curriculum requires the full amount of $650 ($50X13 weeks) plus any projected medical costs or extra curricular activity costs. To help calculate these costs, we suggest filling out the Additional Expense Form. These funds are placed in a separate account and are dispensed to the student over the course of the term.  Any remaining funds are returned to the sponsor at the end of the term.
