The Community House: The heart and soul of College Excel

Located only minutes from the Academic Center for Excellence, student housing, and the OSU/COCC campus, this beautifully renovated bungalow contains all of our coaching offices, a kitchen full of healthy snacks, a small computer lab, comfortable living room, and beautiful yard - all with a relaxed atmosphere. Students have their own keys to the Community House and contribute to its upkeep.

The Community House is staffed with coaches Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5pm. At our popular Morning Coffee & Breakfast meeting, students can fuel up and find direction for their day. We also discuss issues and review the classifieds for job opportunities, as well as solve problems and provide peer support.

During the day, students visit the Community House to meet with coaches, grab a snack, and participate in activities like cooking classes and ping pong.

In the evenings, students come by to study, hang out, play table tennis or chess, and generally wind down. Every Sunday night, students gather to study and share a dinner cooked in the Community House kitchen.
